Quality Inn Fairmont

I spent two days here for a wedding with my three kids, ages 5, 3, and 1, and had the worst experience of my life. They don’t offer room service. In the middle of the night, my five-year-old woke up thirsty at 2 am, grabbed a root beer, and spilled it on the bed. They charged me $90 for the spill. I called twice asking to speak with a manager, and both women on the phone were extremely rude. The second was especially rude, despite me working in customer service. She said a manager would follow up in 3-5 days. I want the corporate number. Breakfast was soggy and old, too. Don’t waste your money here.

From the outside and the lobby, it’s hard to tell what the rooms will be like. I first tried the Hampton, but it was booked, so I came here next door. The Quality Inn met what I look for: clean room, no damp smell, and clean sheets. The personnel were helpful and friendly, and it was $145 a night. This place is for people on a budget. If you’re used to paying $200-$300 a night, don’t stay here. The Hilton and Hyatt families are waiting down the road to take your money.

The back door card reader didn’t work, and the room smelled strongly of mildew.

The rooms were quiet and clean, and breakfast was ready. Staff were very friendly, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy.
