Quality Inn Fairmont

We left with our children coughing, and we found mold all over the mattress. We had checked for bed bugs because of recent reviews. The room was only cleaned for about five minutes before staff said it was ready again. The owner Paul seems not to care about the guests, staff, or condition of the hotel, which is in terrible shape. We asked to speak with him and got no reply. After everything, all we wanted was a refund for one night because of the flooding and damage, but since he wasn't there, he told employees there was nothing they could do. We stayed two nights, and water from the next room completely flooded one of ours. Water pooled around our feet across the carpet. The kids' backpacks, books, and clothes were soaked, and their books were damaged. We recorded it all on camera and video. Staff came in and were overwhelmed by the amount of water. We had to move rooms again after the first replacement had beer bottle caps and loose change in the sofa bed, which hadn't even been changed. It was filthy. The kids had to air-dry their soaked clothes, and one book had belonged to a child’s father who died a couple of years ago. Reviews say leaks have been happening for months, which may explain the dehumidifiers in the rooms. A room without moisture shouldn't need one. The bad reviews are true. The owner wouldn't address the issues and pushed them onto staff. There have been lots of floods, and they seem to dry the water without dealing with mold underneath. The place needs to be inspected and shut down. Quality Inn isn't good quality. Do not stay here.

We got such a bad feeling from the place that we didn't stay overnight. The photos posted online don't look recent, and the property seemed run down. The outdoor pool looked like it hadn't been used for a season or two. In our non-smoking room with double beds, the window had a long crack. The white bedding was torn in places, as if animals had clawed at it, and there were yellow and reddish-brown stains that laundering hadn't removed. The whole place felt really seedy and gave us an awful ick sensation.

There have been complaints to management about drug use in room 279, but nothing has been done. The smell coming from the room is definitely not marijuana. The red headed female staying in room 279 is rude and can barely walk without nodding out. The owners need to clean up their business. It's sad that this is allowed to continue, as if money matters more than the safety of the community.

They put a family with children out, claiming the room hadn't been kept clean. We later found out it was because one of my children had a bedtime accident. How can they hold that against a child when they can't even keep the building free of bugs? I wouldn't recommend staying here. They also have bedbugs.
