I’ve been here a few weeks for business and will be staying longer. The rooms are nice, and having a full kitchen is a big plus. The workers are great and will accommodate reguests. Sleep has been rough about 4 of 7 nights a week. People are loud out on the patio, and there’s loud music at night. The walls are paper thin. They need quiet hours at night.
10/10
I checked into Sonesta Simply Suites in Falls Church, VA, today, and my first impression has been great. The room is much larger than I expected, matches the online description, and is clean and comfortable for my week-long stay. Check-in was easy, and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they let me check in ahead of the usual time. So far, I’m very happy with the stay and looking forward to the rest of the week.
4/10
At 1 a.m., the front desk called to say guests downstairs had complained about noise from us walking. We hadn’t gotten out of bed for almost three hours. The hotel didn’t try to check where the noise was coming from and disturbed sleeping guests in the middle of the night instead. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
4/10
The kitchen was barely equipped: 2 spoons, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 plates, 2 cups, and 2 bowls. One stove burner didn’t work. There was also unexplained swampwater in the dishwasher, leaving a horrible odor that lingered.
8/10
The rooms are spacious, updated, and very clean, and the hotel is in a convenient, safe location that makes it easy to get around. The main drawback was how humid the room felt. Everything seemed damp, from the carpet and floor to the bedding. They also don’t offer breakfast, which is disappointing at this price, since I’d usually expect it. Still, it has a lot going for it if you want a clean, modern place in a good area.
