We came as a couple and stayed one night. The spa amenities were excellent, the gym was solid, and we enjoyed lovely lake views and easy access to the village shops. It’s family-friendly, so expect plenty of kids and some noise, especially around the movie and game rooms. Our lake-view king room had a comfortable bed, good space, and a view of both the pool and lake. The rooms were a little dated, but clean and cozy. The village was an easy stroll away, as was the hotel’s private beach access, which was a nice perk. The service and setting were great, and the food was good, if not a standout. The movie and game rooms are great for kids. If you want quiet, I’d ask for a room away from them. I’d come back. It’s a pleasant stay for families and couples who don’t mind a lively atmosphere.

After almost ten years away, it was nice to be back. The Lake Arrowhead Resort could use a bit of a facelift, maybe the outside paint, elevator, and carpet, but nothing major. The location is unbeatable, with amazing lake views and access, and the lobby is charming and cozy. During our latest stay, a historic storm hit with strong winds and heavy wet snow, and Lake Arrowhead Resort was at the epicenter. It knocked out the area’s power grid, leaving the rooms without heat, lights, or electricity. The staff and resort handled it phenomenally. They clearly had a generator and kept functioning. There was no chaos, just a well-lit lobby, cheerful staff, and very attentive management. They had the fireplace going, set up coffee, hot chocolate, and water, served a limited menu in the restaurant, and provided a device charging station. Some guests were panicking and blaming them for an act of God, but staff stayed calm, collected, and helpful. Kudos and thank you. This is the kind of organization you want taking care of you during a crisis.

We had a good dinner for Valentine’s Day with delicious, well-cooked rib eye, and our waitress was nice and attentive. My wife and I have a vacation home in Lake Arrowhead but don’t usually come to this venue. The ladies who welcomed us when we arrived for dinner were great. We were early, so we went to the bar for wine. I didn’t get the bartenders’ names, but they need a lesson in hospitality. One was rude when I stood by the drink pickup area to order, extending his arm and loudly telling me to go over there. Then I waited ten minutes for the other bartender to take my order. It wasn’t that busy, and I noticed neither he nor the other guy standing with me got priority for an order. The bartenders’ abrasive behavior set a bad tone for the evening. I might visit the restaurant again, but I’ll definitely avoid the bar.

The morning lake view was breathtaking and pleasant, and the whole getaway felt relaxing, with a calm atmosphere. The private beach looks like it must be a great place to hang out in summer. The outdoor areas and inside of the hotel were kept very clean. The rooms are a bit outdated, but everything worked, our room heated well, and the whole hotel stayed comfortably warm during winter. The spa and sauna area was very clean and sanitized. The sauna was too hot for me and I lasted about ten seconds, but the hot tub was relaxing. The older lady who works there keeps everything very clean. The gaming area was a great place to spend time with the kids. We also had a great experience at the restaurant and bar. The bartenders and staff were friendly, and the food was very tasty. I’d dine there again and would love to come back very soon, maybe as a regular place to visit.

The restaurant team was so friendly and attentive, and the front desk made our second stay especially easy. Jenna upgraded our room, let us check in early and leave late, and gave us two bar drinks without charging extra. When we needed to change rooms, Kristin quickly found another one and waived the resort fee for the trouble. The lakefront setting is lovely and the rooms are comfortable. Great hospitality all around.
