Candlewood Suites Fargo South- Medical Center by IHG

Our hockey team had a good stay here. The hotel was reasonably clean and in fair shape, and the location made getting to the tournament easy. The staff were kind and accommodating, so it worked well for our group.

The warm pool was a hit with my grandson, and we both slept well in a clean, quiet room with a really comfortable bed. The front desk staff were welcoming and even reminded us that our dog is always welcome if we return. We definitely plan to stay here again when we're in Fargo.

After eight days, I had to take my own trash downstairs because nobody had come to empty it. Some staff barely said hello, and there seemed to be plenty going on besides work, so management should check in on the desk team now and then. The room itself was nice, though the couch and shower showed wear and could use a better cleaning. The main reason I rated service four stars was the kind older woman working evenings. She was friendly, helpful, and full of useful information.

The mattresses were the one real problem. With two adults in the bed, we both sank toward the middle. Everything else, including the staff, was fantastic.
