The beds weren't too bad, but the strong urine smell had me scared and completely disgusted. There was no breakfast, and the vending machines were broken. Neighbors spent all night having a domestic fight, yelling and sometimes throwing things, which carried on past 5am. The front desk said they'd help but refused to. Worst hotel experience of my life. A refund, or something like it, would be appreciated and needed.
The mattress had lots of piss stains, hidden under two sheets, a blanket, and a duvet cover. The shower was rusty, and the walls and lamps looked like a child had decorated them, honestly. This is the most outdated motel I've ever stayed in. The guests seemed a little suspect, like people might stay there weekly or monthly. The front desk guy was nice, though, and the AC worked well. There was only one TV channel. My room was about $124, and it's not even cheap. If money's tight, maybe you'd go there, but find somewhere clean instead. I wish I could attach photos for people to judge for themselves.
The beds were actually comfy and cozy, and the price is pretty cheap if you're on a budget. Still, the hotel needs updates: rooms are dated except for the TVs, and the Wi-Fi is bad in most parts of the building, often barely working or not at all. They occasionally get a few bugs, not bed bugs, and don't seem to care.
We've stayed there on and off for a few months, usually a week or two at a time. We always preferred it to the other places across the street, which seemed worse to us. It's not as bad as people say.
The price was great, check-in was quick, and the desk clerk was polite and answered my questions. The motel is a short ride from the airport. My Uber driver warned me there was a lot of riff raff, but it was actually quiet and peaceful for a Saturday night. I didn't see or hear anything nefarious, even after walking around at 2-3am. I only smelled a skunk nearby. I had a single queen room with plenty of space, a comfortable bed, a fridge, and great AC. TV had all the cable channels. I was a little disappointed there wasn't a microwave in the room, though there's one in the lobby at the front desk. The Wi-Fi signal in my room was weak, maybe because of the cinder block walls. The very long hallway reminded me of "The Shining". There's a supermarket across the street and other motels, bars, restaurants and such within walking distance. I'd stay at the Grand Inn again if I find myself in Fargo.
