The Biltmore Hotel & Suites Main Avenue

The front desk sorted out a problem with my first room quickly and moved me to another one. Breakfast was complimentary and good, and the room had a fridge, coffee machine, and microwave. There's also a pool and hot tub, plus ice and vending machines down the hall. The decor is fun, and the rooms are decent, though the beds are still a bit stiff. Some rooms have wooden bear sculptures outside the bedroom windows. I wish I'd known that before walking in, because seeing one there nearly gave me a heart attack.

A good in-between kind of hotel. Our room was clean, the staff really friendly, and the kids enjoyed the pool and its fun activities. I'd stay again.

The pool area worked great for our group over the two days, but the bathroom in our room was awful. There was black mold in several spots in the shower, plus black hair all over the floor and a big clump stuck to the shower wall, as in the photo. I asked the staff to clean it while we were out for a few hours. When we got back, the mold was still there and there was even more hair. I hate being the person who complains, but we spent both nights there without asking for anything else and left wishing they'd taken us more seriously. A decent cleaning after we asked, or a small discount on the room, would have been enough.

Kids will have fun at the splash park style pool, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and quick to respond, and the Wi-Fi was good. There are several places to eat and shop nearby. One thing to keep in mind, if NDSU has a special weekend event while you're there, be ready to pay more for those dates.
