The recent updates have made my extended stay at Mainstay Suites more comfortable and improved the look of the hotel. The staff are friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Lately, though, I’ve been noticing more pest problems, and it’s getting frustrating. I hope management can deal with the insects and roaches soon. If this keeps up, I may have to move somewhere else while I wait for my new home to be ready.

Ang is one of the reasons my husband and I keep returning when we visit family for longer stays. She makes a point of greeting guests with a smile and eye contact, even when she has something else to focus on. I’ve seen her pitch in beyond her usual duties, too. Once, while she was mopping, I asked if it was part of her job. She winked and said, “Yes, let’s just say it is and I will feel better.” She’s also quick to understand what guests need. I saw her help someone who spoke limited English fasten a bracelet. She’s a gem, and I hope she’s paid what she’s worth.

After a five-hour drive, we arrived a little after midnight and were told the room we’d booked online for $71.78, a king bed with a pullout sofa, wasn’t available. They weren’t sure how we’d been able to book it, and said they’d have to upgrade us for $92.58. We weren’t happy about the extra cost, but we needed sleep. The room was awful. We had to go back to the office for sheets for the sofa bed, and the set we got was stained. The bedroom and bathroom doors were broken, as was the living area lamp. The curtains were filthy, and the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It badly needs updating.

Angie at the front desk is so kind and friendly, and helps with any questions. The rooms are clean and feel homey. I’d recommend this place to anyone.
