Red Roof Inn Detroit - Farmington Hills

Our company is based in Connecticut, so arranging several rooms for employees working in Michigan could’ve been complicated. The team at Red Roof Inn Detroit Farmington Hills made the whole booking and check-in process quick and easy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the front desk service was excellent. We appreciate how smoothly they handled everything and would happily book here again for future projects.

The room was clean and I didn’t find any bugs. It’s quiet, the staff are nice, and there’s enough space for me and my son. They also keep drinks and food in a lobby fridge, at reasonable prices.

The rooms stink and are consistently dirty, with bugs everywhere. I’ve personally dealt with bedbugs, roaches, and ants, and others I’ve talked with have had the same experiences. There are never enough clean towels, barely any sheets, no ice, broken washing machines, and dirty microwaves when they work at all. The convenience store items at the front office are way overpriced, and the furniture looks years out of date compared with other Red Roofs. Police are always being called for some reason. The staff can be rude, though some are okay, and the property management is awful. It feels like the owner cares just enough, and that attitude shows in the management, staff, and cleanliness. Maybe you’ll catch them on a good day, but I wouldn’t risk it. I’m realistic about what a low price gets you, but these filthy, bug-infested rooms and poor management aren’t worth even a free night. There are other rooms nearby for the same or less, and I’ve stayed at better Red Roofs. Don’t book here.

The person at the front desk was friendly, but the room was disgusting. It smelled like stinky pets as soon as I walked in, even though I’m a pet owner myself. The floors were sticky and clearly hadn’t been mopped, and there were dead flies on the floor with others flying around. The tub was brown and completely unacceptable. I’m grateful I had somewhere to sleep for the night, but the inside shouldn’t be this bad just because the outside looks that way.
