The staff were understanding and kind throughout. I couldn’t find my room, and one employee walked me there. We met the woman who makes breakfast in the elevator, and she was so sweet. At checkout, one of the part owners was there and was very kind too. The beds were comfortable.

This is where I stay whenever work brings me to town. The rooms are consistently clean and the beds comfortable, and they serve a nice hot breakfast in the morning. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby for dining and shopping.

I’d give this hotel zero stars if I could. There was no running water, and loud plumbing work went on nonstop. Nobody told me beforehand, so I couldn’t shower, use the bathroom, or get any peace. When I raised it, the owner Jay promised either a refund or a free night. But the next day a different front desk employee tried to charge me anyway and spoke rudely and unprofessionally. When I refused to pay for another night without water after the promise had been broken, she confronted me and threatened to call the police because I wanted to leave. After I posted my review, that same front desk employee called twice demanding that I leave immediately, although she knew I was packing. Half an hour later she called again and said the police would be called if I didn’t leave fast enough. I found this intimidating and completely unacceptable. The lack of warning about the water outage, the unsafe environment, and the way I was treated have left me planning to report the hotel to the Better Business Bureau and local health department. This was one of my most unpleasant and unprofessional hotel experiences. I don’t recommend staying here; there are much better and safer options nearby.

If I could give Sleep Inn & Suites West Knoxville zero stars, I would. The hotel was doing plumbing work, but guests weren’t warned about the excessive noise or that the water would be shut off completely. It was off from 3 PM-8 PM one day and 11 AM-6 PM the next, which made the room practically unusable. I was sick and sometimes had nosebleeds, so I needed water to clean myself and cool down. Instead, I waited hours for it to come back, which caused needless discomfort and stress. The room was unclean, and the vending machine only took cash, charged $2 for a Pepsi, and had no other choices. That was especially inconvenient when we already couldn’t get water. I spoke with Jay at the front desk. He said he couldn’t refund me because I’d booked through a third-party site, but agreed to give me one extra night free. I planned to check out and move to another hotel based on that. On checkout day, staff suddenly said there had been no agreement and tried to charge me or offer a discount instead. That wasn’t what we’d agreed, and it felt dishonest. Staff were also loudly arguing in the hall between 6 AM and 8 AM, keeping me from sleeping. I called in a noise complaint and clearly saw a staff member in a purple shirt come over afterward, but later I was told no complaint had been recorded. Poor communication, unclean conditions, a broken promise, and unprofessional treatment left me feeling uncomfortable and misled as a paying guest. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.
