Super 8 Knoxville/West

We were still packing at 10:30 a.m., half an hour before our 11:00 a.m. checkout, when staff knocked. My friend and I called out three or four times that we were in the room. The TV was on, and the doors are far from soundproof, so I can't see a reasonable excuse for them not to hear us. They then tried the master key while we were still occupying and paying for the room. We had to hold the door shut ourselves to stop them coming in. This felt unsafe and was a serious breach of privacy, not a small mix-up. Guests shouldn't have to worry about staff trying to enter before checkout after they've clearly said they're inside.

Bo, the gentleman handling group sales, was a pleasure to work with. He was attentive and gave us plenty of helpful information. I highly recommend working with him for whatever you need, and I'd recommend the hotel too. Thanks again, Bo.

I went to several managers about this and got nowhere, even though I provided multiple photos. I'd only been here 20 minutes when I started writing this. The room price was different from what was advertised, and after I found someone else's pubic hair and a used soap bar in the bathroom, I asked the front desk worker “Charley” to re service the room. He yelled at me and said I did nothing but complain. If you paid $160 for a super 8 motel and found pubic hair and a used soap bar, you'd probably be upset too. “Charley,” I wish you the best in life, but don't come here. If you're thinking of saving a dollar, spend the extra money and go somewhere else.

This is the third Wyndham super 8 we've stayed at on this trip, and they've been pet friendly, with a deposit per pet 😊. The room was nice and clean, and the water pressure was good. My gripe is that the room keys get disabled half an hour before checkout. It feels like they're pushing you out early and makes it hard to load the vehicle.
