Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Fayetteville

We’ve been stopping here on our drives south for more than 12 years, and it hasn’t let us down. It’s a well-run hotel in a great location off I-95, with friendly staff and updated, clean, comfortable rooms. The road trip bed is the best, especially if you like firm pillows. Its small gym is the best I’ve seen off I-95, with updated cardio equipment, free weights, a bench, and cables, enough for a full workout. Highly recommend it.

It’s an older hotel, but handy for getting to I-95, and the front desk and room service staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good value. I ordered pickup and always got free coffee or juice with it. The woman handing over the coffee also gave me plenty of cream and sugar.

The staff are excellent and the cookies are good, but after our second stay I don’t think we’ll stop here again. The price is okay and the rooms are average, while parking is a real headache because of the odd side lot. For this price, I’d expect a little more than average. Other Doubletree locations I’ve stayed at, as well as nearby hotels, offer full breakfasts, which I appreciated.

We checked in around 6 pm on 12/30/25, and saw a homeless man asking for money as we got out of the car. In our room there was no bar soap or shampoo, only half a roll of toilet paper and no spare. The shower did have a container of shower gel and hair conditioner. We went to the front desk and got soap and toilet paper. We ate at the restaurant and ordered a club sandwich. I’d never seen one served on a roll before.
