Extended Stay America Select Suites - Fayetteville

The smell in the hallways was so strong and disgusting I could barely breathe. It smelled like human feces and mold. In the room, the sheets were stained and it smelled like human pee. I found five cockroaches when I walked in and another three in the bed, even though the sheets were supposed to be clean. There were roaches in the tub too, crawling under the doors. I left without staying the night and booked somewhere else. This place should not be open.

I got bitten by roaches many times in my sleep while my fiancé and I stayed here, and I have pictures. We killed about 50 or more over the week, not even counting all the ones in the laundry room. The manager admitted other residents had similar bites and said they knew about the infestation. I stayed a few months ago and don't usually leave reviews, but recent reviews say they STILL have German roaches, and I'm pissed. The place is disgusting. I got a full refund, but I'm going to report it to the Arkansas Department of Health.

We hadn't even been here 12 hours when we realized there were way too many roaches. Mathew at the front desk apologized and said they had been dealing with it for years, then actually said, “I'm sorry if you don't like them.” Hell no, I don't like roaches. It's a health issue, and it's outrageous that this place is still open.

The Fayetteville property has been good to me when I needed it, and I hope it stays that way. I'm still here for now, but hope to get back on my feet soon. The way people treat me is what matters most, and one person there stood out as a better listener than the rest for a while. The Springdale place is a different story, and it's in the past for me. I deleted my review of it because of personal reasons that weren't conclusive. Four months later, I've moved on, and now that I know about the new ownership, I wanted my star ratings to be more truthful, especially for Springdale since I know it's associated. Things were a bit much toward the end in Fayetteville too, but I left on good terms and kept a good relationship with them. If there was something about the other property I didn't understand, or something they wouldn't recommend, I'm sorry, but I won't be going there anymore. Thank you, Mary Warren.
