The pool made my grandson very happy, and we got to swim on four of the days we were there. Veronique was wonderful in the breakfast area, making sure we had what we needed each morning. She even went out of her way to get vegetarian options ready and would quickly offer us fruit or yogurt if we were leaving before breakfast hours. We were sorry to miss her on checkout day. The GM was there every day, even all Thanksgiving Day, and was friendly and professional. Bless her for giving her employees time with their families. Our holiday week started badly. The front desk person who checked us in seemed in no mood to deal with us. When I showed my ID and credit card and asked a few questions, the answers were all negative, with some attitude. Asking for an upgrade turned into a wrestling match. A woman in the back noticed things weren’t going well and stepped in to play good cop. She told us the upgrade would be available after 4 p.m., so we came back after 5. When we returned, the person I’d called the “No Society” had completely changed her tune. She was syrupy sweet, helped us check in, and made sure we got our things safely to the room. For the next seven nights she was very nice and professional, a great recovery after that rough start. I won’t go into the details, but when I told her she was the first Marriott employee ever to tell me no, she seemed surprised. I’ve spent thousands of nights at Marriott properties around the world, and it was true. The no was about something very specific and not at all out of the ordinary. We never told her my wife had been a longtime DOS for Marriott, but that wouldn’t have mattered. We’ll return in the future.

Gigi and her team gave us the best service, and breakfast was hearty and excellent. The rooms are large for such a low rate. Just keep in mind it’s in a suburban area, so you’ll need a car to reach the beach or downtown, though either drive is quick, 15 minutes or less.

My dad needed accommodations after surgery, and the manager and staff went above and beyond to help him feel comfortable. The manager even called me personally to help arrange an accessible room. We were blown away by how friendly and helpful they were. Thank you all for taking such good care of my family!

We ended up here after organizational issues meant we couldn’t stay at the other Marriott we’d planned on. I’m glad we did. We stayed around 20 days, and it was a lovely first hotel experience for me. The people who work here made it memorable, and material comforts can’t make up for how much people can shape a stay. Bryan checked us in quickly and was thoroughly professional, helping with all kinds of Bonvoy account questions. Jet lag kept me awake at night, and when I stopped by the front desk around 0200 hrs, Colleen was working the night audit. She was busy but still gave me a detailed guide to Pensacola, including what to do and what might not be safe, and kept me company during those sleepless nights. She was warm and kind whenever I saw her. Jamie, the assistant manager, was witty and funny, and made sure we were comfortable. Joe and the rest of the housekeeping team kept our room spotless and well stocked, and always accommodated requests. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and they did an excellent job. Veronique kept breakfast hot and welcoming, and went the extra mile to prepare vegetarian options. If we left early, she’d quickly give us fruit or yogurt for the road. Gigi managed the team and went above and beyond to make sure we, having just arrived in the country, had the comforts we needed. She seemed to anticipate things with the experience she’s built up over the years, and her welcoming smile always made me feel good. The rooms are well maintained, with a wide range of utensils and cooking items available on request. The coffee was always fresh, hot, and great. I’m sorry if I’ve missed anyone who helped make our stay so memorable. I’d highly recommend this place. The people running it are superb.
