Hampton Inn and Suites Indianapolis - Fishers

The location worked well for everything we came to do, and the rooms were nice. Parking out front filled up, but we found more spaces behind the hotel. You need your key card to enter from the back, so check in before parking there. Breakfast was decent, with good coffee and a nice range of juices. During our three nights, the only real downside was the broken AC throughout the hallways. It made every walk to and from the room hot, and the temperature left the halls smelling musty. They should have made fixing it a priority. Otherwise, a great stay.

It’s a small hotel, pretty inside, and we had a pleasant stay, though some renovations would help. There’s a Cracker Barrel right outside, with Walmart and several other shops and restaurants nearby. The location is handy, about 20 minutes from the outskirts of Nashville. A good base if you want to explore the city without being right in the middle of the craziness.

I stayed at this Hampton about a week and a half ago, probably in Room 202. The room was otherwise okay, except the mattress was soft, but the smell hit me as soon as I walked in. It was nasty, like a locker room, and seemed to come from the pull-out couch or the carpet around it. That couch needs fumigating. I told the desk clerk when I checked out. There were no alarm clocks, so I had to figure out the alarm on my phone. Breakfast was so-so, with biscuits but no gravy and the usual other items.

The location was good, breakfast was good, and the rooms were decent. But housekeeping didn’t clean my room for four days in a row until I made a specific request. Cleaning staff were also often noisy and disruptive in the hallways, which made the stay less comfortable.
