We left after the first night, and the final push was another guest somehow opening our room door. She seemed disoriented while talking to cleaning staff across the hall. The door may have been ajar after I let it close with the do not disturb sign up. The room also filled with cigarette smoke through the bathroom, apparently from someone else smoking. Most of all, the soundproofing was awful. I expected road noise, but could hear the person upstairs pacing back and forth all night. Even loud white noise in my earbuds didn’t cover the footsteps. At 4:12 AM, I messaged to ask about changing rooms for the second night because of the noise and smoke. The hotel’s messaging bot had invited me to reply if I needed anything, but at noon, after we’d decided to check out, I only got a generic question about how the stay was going. We asked for a refund for the second night. Management didn’t seem concerned or offer a solution. She said she’d speak to her manager and call me, and even read my number back, but never did. Booking.com tried to get the refund, and Hilton refused. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re hoping to sleep.

The room phone didn’t work, so I reported it soon after I noticed. Someone said they’d come fix it, but nobody did. When I contacted the front desk again to explain how frustrating that was and ask for help, they focused on what they could and couldn’t do instead of offering a reasonable fix. There wasn’t much effort to address the inconvenience or show concern. A working phone is a basic amenity and can matter in an emergency. This poor follow-through and service left me disappointed, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

We come back whenever we visit our son at West Point. Everyone, from the front desk to housekeeping, is courteous and friendly, and the service is excellent. Nick at the front desk deserves a special mention. He’s always welcoming and willing to go the extra mile. This hotel makes us feel at home.

I paid more than $150 plus tax, and the TV didn’t work. Nobody at the front desk responded, which felt typical. Then I woke up and saw bugs on the walls and ceiling. Keep driving to the next available place. I don’t recommend this location.
