We paid $108 in November for a clean, comfortable room with two queen beds, which felt like a great deal. Breakfast had plenty to choose from: eggs, hash browns, sausage, make-your-own waffles, cereal, yogurt, muffins, and English muffins. The hotel was mostly quiet, though we heard some road traffic from our room and were glad we brought our white noise machine. The shower had strong pressure and a high showerhead, even for someone 7 feet tall. Service was friendly, and the Christmas decorations looked nice. A good place to stop, in my opinion.

The pool and hot tub were both clean and worked well, which was a real plus for our family. Our beds were comfortable, and the extra pillows and comforter I asked for arrived without any trouble. We booked two queen rooms. There were also lobby cookies that kept our two hungry kids happy at 10 PM while we sorted out check-in. Check-in was frustrating because we had accidentally booked the wrong date and ended up essentially paying twice. The front desk attendant couldn’t find our reservation and wasn’t much help. When we asked whether we could switch the night, we were told we’d have to pay for both nights regardless. He said he’d refer us to the manager, but added they “definitely” wouldn’t do anything, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The small parking lot made loading and unloading the car difficult with kids and luggage. Breakfast was just okay, and there were no non-pork protein choices, so I could only have eggs. In our room, the toilet kept running and there were only two towels, so I had to go downstairs for more. Housekeeping was loud in the hallway around 8 AM and made it hard to rest. There were some good points, but the service and comfort problems affected the stay.

The room carpet had such a strong smell, almost like old or spilled milk, that I had to get the air freshener from my car. The lighting was white and fluorescent, if warm, cozy bedroom light matters to you. The bed looked clean and inviting, but it was very soft. My neck hurt when I woke up because I need a firmer mattress. At least that gave me an excuse to check out the massage place next door. The toilet started running the next morning and wouldn’t flush, so I had to fill the tank with buckets of water. You can also hear footsteps pretty clearly from an upstairs room. Earplugs and my sound machine helped. The outside and lobby are cute, and check-in was smooth and super friendly. The hotel is quiet enough despite the nearby railway. They offer free lobby cookies with coffee. The hot tub wasn’t hot, which was disappointing since that feature was why I booked. Luckily, the bathtub had very hot water and great pressure.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and neatly arranged, with two plush queen beds and a large TV in each. It was wonderfully quiet overnight, and check-in was quick and efficient. We were here for the second night of a three-day tour from Las Vegas organized by a travel company. For the price and comfort, I’d give it five stars. We were looking forward to trying breakfast the next morning and hoped it would be as good as the rest of the stay.

The beds were pretty nice, and the packaged breakfast options like yogurt, muffins, and oatmeal were okay. The hot breakfast items weren’t good. The room smelled musty, like feet, as soon as we walked in. Its bathroom was old, with what looked like newish paint and maybe a newer tub, but the tile and vanity seemed original. The lobby initially looked nice, though the public bathroom had a mirror with a chunk missing and a broken toilet flusher button. Once I looked beyond the surface, the whole place felt tired and dirty, and I couldn’t bring myself to shower there. I probably should have paid a bit more for somewhere else, like Drury Inn Flagstaff, where I know the rooms and food are better for the price.
