This is the most disgusting hotel I’ve stayed at since a nightmare in NYC almost 15 years ago. Cockroaches, bed bugs, filthy rooms. I’m traveling alone with a large dog on a long road trip. Motel 6 doesn’t charge for dogs, so it’s become my usual stop on this trip. When I opened my room door, there was a live cockroach on its back on the counter near the entrance. I’d just driven from Roswell and was exhausted, so I got rid of it, but I was already worried there’d be more. We all know there are always more. I walked my dog around the property, which is laid out like a square with rooms on the outside and inside. There was more dog poop and trash, including rotting food, than I’ve seen anywhere except poorly maintained, gross downtown pockets of big cities. No wonder there were cockroaches. It’s an ideal environment for them. The room was gross too. The curtains had holes, the walls had black marks, there was gravel from outside stuck in the floor crevices, and the floor itself was filthy. I took the top sheet off the bed and laid it on the floor so I wouldn’t have to touch the ground. The bed bug rumors are true. Around 2:30 am I woke up to pee, my arm was itchy, and sure enough there was a bite. I slept in a hoodie because the ancient heater was so loud. I wore that same hoodie while driving today, and now I have two more bites. I’m on a long road trip and bring my own pillows because hotel pillows are terrible. Now my clothes and pillows may be carrying bed bugs. Shame on this Motel 6 location. My skin has been crawling all day, and I have to deal with the possibility that my car, clothes, and pillows have bed bugs from this filthy hotel. That’s the last thing I need. I almost forgot, the WiFi was so weak I couldn’t use it. I had to use my phone hotspot to finish important documents for my move and book my next hotel in Barstow. Can a place fail any harder?

My first time getting a motel room by myself went smoothly. I didn’t need the kiosk to check in, and used it to check out. The whole process was easy to understand. Arun was really kind and helpful. I paid $40 a night, so I can’t complain that the room wasn’t luxury. Mine had two full size beds and was fairly clean. The worst mess was dust bunnies under the bed, which I only noticed because I kept dropping things down there. There was no microwave or fridge. It wasn’t very quiet. At least two rooms had dogs that barked whenever anyone walked by, and other guests and the cleaning crew often yelled outside my room ;-;. The area didn’t feel like the safest in town, but it was a ten minute walk to the Little America hotel, where I was going to Kikoricon. Several restaurants and about three convenience stores were also within a ten minute walk.

The floors were disgusting, the shower curtain was gross and smelled, and fake eyelashes were still on the light fixture. We didn’t ask to move because they told us at check-in there were no other first floor rooms available. The room wasn’t clean. Don’t waste your money unless this is your only option.

There were signs that might have been bed bugs, but I can’t prove it. The desk person said rooms usually cost $220 a night. I got lucky, but even $75 a night was too much. The beds weren’t queens, barely doubles. The room was 180 sqft with no carpet, and had soap, towels, a fridge, microwave, and WiFi that worked well. The tub was nice, and the toilet was great for someone 5ft and under. Be ready to change the air filter and hear furniture being moved next door all day. There are good restaurant choices nearby.

We booked three rooms, and none had air conditioning. It was extremely hot, and we couldn’t sleep. When I called the front desk asking to change rooms, they said it wasn’t possible. Staff said a manager would come, but instead they sent one small fan. The fan and the room were very dirty, like they hadn’t been cleaned properly in years. It felt like a scam: no AC, no room service, and the front desk didn’t respond properly to calls. A complete waste of money and time. SCAM, DIRTY, UNSAFE. Reply to your response: What specific review do you need? Please check with the front desk and the manager on duty the night of 12/22/25, the same manager who gave me a dirty, old fan. Don’t act like you don’t know who I mean. You can verify it by checking bookings for rooms 262, 221, and 222. It would be better to acknowledge the mistake, poor customer service, and dirty rooms you provided, and at least try to fix the situation.
