Holiday Inn Express Hinesville by IHG

We’re here for a work stay, and the place has been very accommodating. The staff are kind and respectful. Dairy made breakfast a lovely spot to gather in the morning. Our room, the pool, and the weight room were all clean and ready to use. My husband and I will return.

I’ve been staying here for business almost once a week for over a year, and they know how to treat people. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful, and the food is awesome. Dairy puts it all together and is always there if you need anything.

Everything else was spot on, and I still recommend the hotel, but the pool experience was scary. The indoor pool area smelled strongly of poop, and the smell seemed to be everywhere. My mom warned us not to swallow any water. My sister and I got in because it was heated and we were desperate to swim. I kept my head out because my hair was done; my sister went under and then tripped in the pool, accidentally choking on water. A day later, she called at 2am struggling to breathe and coughing badly. She was crying because all that coughing could be bad for the baby. She went to the hospital, and I have proof that she got RSV, a respiratory infection, while pregnant. I can’t know for sure that the pool caused it, but the water seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and the smell made us worry about what could be in it. My sister is pregnant, has high blood sugar, and already has trouble breathing when she moves. Having an infection on top of that is frightening. I keep thinking about who else might swim there, including a little baby with underlying issues. Someone could die. Please clean the pool regularly. It saddens me to leave a bad review for such a good hotel.

Breakfast was the best part of my stay, thanks to Diary. She was super sweet and helpful. One small suggestion: could the chocolate milk come in bottles instead of needing chocolate syrup added? Busy moms like me would love to grab and go, lol.
