I booked by mistake on Priceline, choosing a room 60 miles outside my travel radius. I called the owner within 15 minutes to say I couldn’t make the reservation, but they refused to refund my money.

The maintenance technician noticed our flat tire as I was walking back from the office with donuts and coffee on Sunday morning. He got a jack from his shop and a lug wrench and changed it for us right away. I offered a tip, but he refused and said it was free because guests at rodeway inn are family. That really felt like the way people treated us throughout our stay. We’d pulled in around 2:00am after a weekend racing at the brownstown bullring, in brownstown Illinois, heading home with the race at and hauler. There was plenty of room to park it. The couple who own the place were so kind at the front desk, even though I could tell I’d woken them up. Our room smelled good, the shower was nice and hot, and the towels were clean and fresh with brand new toilet paper. The sheets and blanket smelled nice too, and I was out as soon as my head hit the pillow. Everything about it felt like home, and I’ll definitely be back to this amazing rodeway inn. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Don’t let the negative reviews from the prior owners put you off, these people and their staff actually care. I’m here for work and would never pick this place myself. There’s no Wi-Fi, no ice machine, and no washer or dryer. Breakfast is bread and pastries, and the parking lot is full of holes. The TV doesn’t work, and it’s tiny and mounted on the wall like a poster. The microwave acts like it wants to explode. The AC comes on and off whenever it wants, even when it’s almost 90. I was here for two days and now I’ve gotten sick. This place is a joke. Smdh!!!

They double charged us. The room was crap and the service hateful. This was our second time, and it was worse than before. 1000% DONT RECOMMEND!!

The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, and our room was clean and comfortable. It’s a cool old school motor lodge with a few surprises. I wish I could’ve seen it in its prime, it must have been neat. Someone’s clearly putting time and money into renovating the place. Good for them.
