Comfort Inn & Suites Florence Center Area

The AC unit was really noisy, though the weather was nice enough that we didn’t need to run it. We found two bottle caps and part of a chip by the window side of the bed, so it was clear the room hadn’t been vacuumed. The sheets had been changed and there were fresh towels, but we also found an old bar of soap in the shower the next morning, which made us wonder if it had been cleaned. Check-in was fine and the room layout was good, but it wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. When I told the front desk, all I got was “sorry about that.” Very disappointing and frustrating, especially after booking this Comfort inn based on positive reviews. I’d pick one of the other nearby hotels and can’t recommend this one.

We didn’t get up in time for breakfast, and the TV was DirectTV, so there was no Netflix. The carpet had a piece missing, though it wasn’t terrible, and the doors stick, so make sure yours is shut. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The AC in room 205 had a slight squeal, but my white noise app covered it. It’s an older property, but it was fine overall and close to stores and restaurants.

The breakfast team handled a very busy morning gracefully and helped all the guests. The front desk was super helpful, check-in went smoothly, and the room was nice and clean. I had a great experience from beginning to end and definitely recommend this place.

The bed was firmer than I prefer, though my husband liked it. We also appreciated the convenient mini fridge, the relatively modern bathroom, and how clean the rooms were. The hot breakfast was typical, but free is good. Pleasantly surprised by this Comfort Inn & Suites, and we’ll consider staying at this location again.
