Hyatt Place Florence Downtown

We were especially happy that they welcomed our dog and treated him so well. Breakfast came with the stay and was really good, too. The service felt warm from the beginning, and the person helping us early that morning was incredibly kind and took great care of us. We had a very pleasant time at Hyatt Place Florence, South Carolina and would definitely recommend it.

My company arranged five nights here after my truck broke down. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a comfortable, pleasant place, and the staff are more than pet friendly. They seem to enjoy having pets around, and there are several bag and bin stations to help clean up after the pups.

The only thing we spotted that wasn’t clean was the outside of the fourth-floor windows. Everything indoors was fine, the bed was comfortable, and noise wasn’t an issue for us. Earplugs were provided but we didn’t need them. The location is great, with several restaurants and bars an easy walk away. Parking is across the street and felt safe. Downtown hotels commonly charge for parking. There’s also a small bar and restaurant with good quality food, and breakfast was delicious and free. I’ve experienced vaping at other hotels, though I didn’t encounter it here. A hotel can’t control or prevent it. We’ll happily come back.

The pet fee is the one thing that gives us pause, especially for a short visit. Our dog is quiet, doesn’t shed, and makes no mess, so the charge feels steep. Still, this is our regular choice when we’re in the area. We’re loyal Hyatt fans, and the location works perfectly. The property is consistently clean, and we like how quiet and comfortable it feels. Rooms aren’t fancy, but the beds are very comfortable. Staff are always helpful, even if they aren’t especially warm. We keep coming back.
