SpringHill Suites by Marriott Florence

After a long day on the road, Maegan at the front desk made us feel welcome. She was kind and professional, and check-in had been quick and easy. Meagan was there at checkout too and helped us get on our way. My family and I found the hotel comfortable and well located, and breakfast had a little bit of everything. We’d stay again if we’re in the area.

The couch had dried food on it, the kitchenette glasses looked like they’d been put away without being washed, and the bathroom and mirror were dusty. There was even a spider on my pillow. The worst part was the comforter: it had what looked like mucus and possibly blood stains, so I had to ask for a clean one. The room seemed to have had little done beyond fresh sheets and a vacuum, and I could barely sleep after the long trip. I bring my own sheets as a personal preference, which helped me feel a bit more comfortable. I usually choose SpringHill because past stays have been good. I like the beds and cleanliness, and I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this one was disappointing enough to mention. The place needs serious cleaning and renovation. For the price, I can’t recommend it, and it didn’t meet the standard I expect from SpringHill suites.

The staff were friendly and professional, and management seemed attentive and kept things running smoothly. SpringHill Suites by Marriott Florence Odyssey was clean, well maintained, and welcoming, which made for a comfortable stay. Their rewards program may add useful benefits, so I recommend signing up. It’s a good choice for business or leisure travel.

Krystal at the front desk was the highlight. She greeted us with a friendly smile and was super nice at check-in. The room and location get three stars from me, while Krystal gets five. We’re Gold Elite Members, and the hotel was basically empty, but we weren’t offered the usual upgrade. The rooms are small, especially the bathrooms, and the tubs aren’t standard size. Given the points we used, I expected more space. Breakfast was okay, with a mix of hot and cold choices. The pool was supposed to be heated, but it felt like an arctic plunge. This Springhill Suites left us disappointed.
