Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Flowood - Jackson Northwest

Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. The rooms are a decent size, the showers get hot, and the temperature controls work reasonably well. The beds squeak a bit, the breakfast looks and tastes kind of sad, and parking is cramped. Still, it costs half as much as most nearby places, and the doors lock.

It’s a no-frills hotel that needs updating, and the beds were extremely firm. Everything was clean, and we felt safe. Breakfast choices were limited: gravy, biscuits, a sausage patty, a couple of cereals, pastries, and boiled eggs. Restaurants and hotels were easy to get to.

My wife and I went on a two-day sabbatical to enjoy the Mississippi State Fair and chose to stay at the econo Lodge in Flowood, Mississippi. The room wasn’t clean, the drywall was damaged, and housekeeping had a bad attitude. When I asked Con on arrival whether it was a good room, the attendant said yes, but it wasn’t. Room 221 wouldn’t be suitable for young children because of the damaged drywall. Breakfast on Tuesday was sufficient. When my wife pointed out the problems to two housekeeping staff, an older man scoffed at her. We won’t be back for a while.

It was okay and close to the hospital, but the second-shift red dot individual ruined the place for me. After the bosses left, he ran outside and asked whether I’d told them about our dog. I said no, there was no need since the dog hadn’t been in the room. He asked, “Are you sure?” I had to use a lot of restraint not to show him how I felt about being called a liar. We left the next day and spent the rest of our time at another motel. The red dot individuals seem to think everyone is trying to do them wrong. I also had to turn in dirty towels before I could get clean ones. Do not stay here. This place is a joke, and the red dot individuals need a reality check!
