Lake 'N Pines Motel

For our first vacation with our eight-month-old, they had a pack n play ready in the room, already set up with a sheet and baby blanket. You don’t find that everywhere. The staff were great and knew the area, and both the pools and spacious rooms were very clean. I’d recommend it for families with young kids.

We rented five rooms for a reunion weekend and found them all clean and well kept. The friendly staff knew the area well. We spent time talking quietly at the picnic area overlooking the lake, and there’s also a large deck with chairs right by the water. It was a great value for a very nice stay in the Cooperstown area, within ten miles of family friendly activities.

The location on the lake was wonderful, about a 20-minute drive to Cooperstown Dreams Park, which is why we came. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was clean too. Service was fine, and the two times we asked for it during our weeklong stay, they responded promptly. Nothing fancy. There’s no breakfast or on-site laundry, though Cooperstown has a laundromat.

The lake views are wonderful, and the whole property sits right at the water’s edge. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The rooms have been renovated recently, but the bathroom is still plain, and the toilet sits very low, which isn’t great if you’re tall. The mattresses are quite firm, though each queen bed had four pillows, more than you get at most motels. The game room was a letdown: one pinball machine, a pool table, and a couple of random games, but no real arcade games.
