Best Western University Inn & Suites

Our house was being repaired, so we stayed here for a while. The employees were attentive and very kind, and the whole experience was amazing. We'll return if we need to.

The room was really clean, and the staff were good. I slept great too, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've had in a motel.

The only real bright spot was the pool and hot tub, which were open 24 hours. We stayed two nights, and the loud music from the lobby and pool could be heard in room 210 at all hours. My kids couldn't get to sleep. I texted the number they gave us at check-in for requests, but got nothing back. When I called, the front desk first said they only had a landline, then admitted the message had come through on their website and hadn't been answered. At night there was no one at the desk when we went down about the music, no bell or person, just a long wait. They allow dogs but have no designated dog area, only rocks and no grass. Breakfast was inedible, neither TV worked, and a big pipe right outside our door was leaking. I'd expected more after reading the good reviews, and won't come back.

Convenience is the one thing this Best Western (2910 W University Dr) has going for it. You can walk or drive a short way to just about any store or place to eat. But noise made the stay miserable. In the room, we could hear people in the hall, doors closing, the next room, and even every flush and shower from other rooms. You could hear people talking or watching TV from the rooms while standing in the hallway too. The elevator was loud and vibrated while moving, which was briefly scary, like a little amusement ride that needs repairs. I'd consider staying in this area again, but not at this Best Western.
