McMenamins Grand Lodge

We've been here for a concert, soaking, and a meal, though we haven't stayed overnight. The soak was great, but changing can take time on a busy day because there are only three larger shared bathrooms with showers: two near the lockers and one around the corner. I'd suggest arriving in your swimsuit. Everyone needs ID to check in for soaking, which I hadn't seen mentioned online. One young adult in our group had forgotten their wallet and had to email a photo of their ID. It was great that they accepted that, since we drive 45 minutes and couldn't just go back for it. Kids are allowed with an adult, though I'm not sure how that works. Lockers are available, but no locks are provided, so ask about renting one or bring your own. They don't provide robes or towels unless you're staying overnight at the hotel. I can see the soak being even better with an overnight stay. Meal service was average, nothing special. We could've complained about a few things, but didn't, since our server was young and maybe still learning. The food was delicious, pretty typical Mcmenamins.

We held a wedding here, and the lodge was a perfect setting. It's an historic place, full of history, and McMenamins has restored it well. There was lots of good food and spirits, with plenty to do on site and resources around Forest Grove too. It's not a standard hotel, so look into the details before booking. Some rooms have bathrooms, but mine had only a sink. That worked fine for me, and I recommend the place.

The little outdoor soaking pool was warm and relaxing, and we enjoyed wandering through the halls to look at the art. We even found a secret hallway, which was a highlight. During an event, drinks took a long time at one pop-up bar, though the bartender was doing his best alone. Staff elsewhere were friendly and service was great. McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove is a charming, quirky place with lots to explore. I'd happily return.

The secret hallway was so neat. I love designs like that, and the cool, eerie paintings were great too. We were at my husband's company Christmas party, and the food and my drink were both good. We like all the McMenamins locations. We didn't stay overnight, but saw the room one of my husband's coworkers had, and it looked nice with a bathroom.
