The Evergreen

I came with my son for one night on 4/29/26 and really wished we could’ve stayed longer. Our two queen room was lovely and very clean, and the beds were so soft that I slept well, which is unusual for me in hotels. Even though we were closest to the street, it was quiet, though it was off season with few people around. The gentleman at the desk was kind and helpful. There was coffee in the room, plus coffee and pastries in the lobby. I’m usually wary of motels, but this one felt almost luxurious. It’s near Yellowstone’s west entrance and close enough to walk around town. I’d recommend it.

Romaine welcomed us warmly and had useful suggestions for both dinner and breakfast. We tried them and loved the choices. My husband and I came across Evergreen in West Yellowstone a few evenings ago, and it was a much better stay than our usual chain hotels. The room was spotless, quiet, cozy, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches in the room and lobby. We only wish we’d had another night. Montana hospitality at its finest, thank you!

The bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. The park entrance is ideally close, with convenience stores and restaurants an easy walk away. Try to check in before 9pm so someone is at reception. Lost keys cost 20, so keep them safe. I’d stay here again.

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, but they’re small, and the shower is tiny too. You can hear and feel people walking in the adjoining room. Parking is extremely tight if you have a full-size vehicle. The rooms are outside.
