Tao's Inn

The rooms were clean and well kept, and it cost a lot less than some other places we considered. It’s a great base for Yellowstone, even though it’s off the main streets. They don’t offer room service, which is the one downside. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a Yellowstone visit.

There are no frills here, and check-in is done on your phone since there’s no front desk. The rooms are clean, with no bugs, and the bathroom is fine. They’re minimally furnished and about Red Roof Inn quality. The HVAC works adequately, and I liked the very firm mattresses. For the money, I think it’s good value, and I’d stay again. It does remind me of a Red Roof Inn.

The manager, Alfredo, helped us when I accidentally booked our check-in for a day later than we needed, and got us into a room that same day. There’s no check-in desk, but housekeeper Ray was there cleaning and noticed us trying to work out how to check in. Once we were settled, the room was extremely clean. The sheets were wonderful, though the mattress was a little too firm for me. Netflix and Wi-Fi were provided, and I liked the Lather brand bathroom products. I recommend the inn and would stay again.

The room was small but very clean, and it was all we needed for a comfortable place to sleep. We got through self check-in without trouble, even though there’s no front desk, and the lack of cleaning service during our stay was fine with us. The location worked well for getting into Yellowstone or walking to West Yellowstone’s main street. I’d book again.
