Knights Inn Forest Hill

The rooms are roomy and accommodating, the hot water was nice, and the price was great for the property. It’s a former Hampton Inn, and I wasn’t disappointed with the building or the rooms. There are friendly guests, employees, and locals around, too. What made the stay uncomfortable was a few obnoxious long-term guests. I was told they’d been banned from other local properties, though I don’t know if that’s true. There were three rooms of them, with people running between rooms all night, kids in diapers going up and down the corridor, and adults yelling, crying, and cussing at each other and other guests. I couldn’t tell whether the children or adults screamed more. I politely said hello to one adult before asking for quiet by midnight, and was met with hostility. They didn’t care that people were trying to sleep at 4am. That was the disappointment, and I’m rating the whole experience. If you want a roomy space at a good price, I’d recommend it, but ask for an isolated room far from the long-term guests.

The rooms look nothing like the online pictures. Mine was dirty and smelled bad, with cigarette burns everywhere. The employees were very rude.

It’s a small, inexpensive motel that meets your needs, nothing special. The shower had good water pressure.

I got a good soak in the tub, watched a movie, and slept well. It’s a two-star hotel, nothing fancy, but reasonably clean with plenty of hot water. The staff were polite, if a bit distant, and the price was cost-effective. The photos have little to do with reality, but I can’t complain.
