Towneplace Suites BY Marriott Forney

We found the hotel online while in town for a dog sport event in Mesquite, and the drive back to Forney was well worth it. The decor was gorgeous, and whoever put it together deserves a gold star. Our room was thoughtfully laid out, with a full kitchen, and parking and breakfast were complimentary. The property was well kept, and we felt safe leaving our vehicle overnight. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. They were especially welcoming to our dogs, treating them like little rockstars instead of merely allowing them. Keep up the good work!

We spent six nights here in a double queen room, which was the only option available at the time. I'm glad we ended up with it because the desk and two chairs gave us room to both set up. There was plenty of counter space for luggage, apart from the fairly small bathroom counter. The internet ran around 50 Mbps, but gaming had noticeable lag. A wired connection was much less laggy. The gym was spacious and very nice for a hotel, though it got kind of warm. Front desk staff were always polite and nice. The woman who checked us in on the night of Nov. 3rd was very sweet, and she also checked us out on the 9th. She was welcoming every time. The room itself was beautiful.

We stopped here while moving my son to college, and I paid $170 for the night. The first room had no AC. I called the front desk, and the woman seemed surprised before giving us another room. That one hadn't been cleaned either. The pillows had been used, and there were used towels in the bathroom. I took pictures and went downstairs right away. She said, "Oh that just a towel in the shower. That's were they go" even though there were two hand towels and a bath mat used. Then she said the only other room also had AC that didn't work, and that she had to control it from her phone. It was the same room we'd been in first. She'd checked us into a room where the AC didn't work without telling us, acted surprised when we called, and then said she had to move us back to the one controlled from her phone. I stayed in January, and it took me this long to calm down enough to write a review. I regularly stay at Marriott's and was very disappointed. If it hadn't been so late, and if I knew the area and there were more places without backtracking, I would have left.

The rooms felt a little snug for a family of four. My husband, our two girls, and I stayed here, and it seemed pretty new, having opened in March 2025. The kitchen was very convenient and had all the appliances we needed. Angel was sweet and helpful, and the whole staff was lovely. The pool and lobby were spotless, breakfast had a nice variety each day, and there were lots of restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
