The ocean from our balcony was beautiful, and the property has a charming coastal feel in a great location. Cody at the front desk was especially helpful after I called ahead because we expected to arrive late. She had our room secured and ready, gave us a coupon for a nearby restaurant, and printed a list of local places to visit and eat. After a long day of travel, it was a relief to have everything set up. The room was nice, but at close to $300 a night, an empty shampoo dispenser was disappointing. I had brought my own, luckily. It was also noisy early in the morning, with doors slamming around the building, so sleeping in was difficult. I liked the place overall, but those things cost it a star. Thanks to Cody for going the extra mile. Her service really stood out, and with more attention to room details, this could easily be a five-star stay. @wegotschwag on tik tok

I was completely pleased with my stay, and it was my favorite of the four rooms I had on my Redwoods trip. For $215, the room was well worth it, though I don’t know what the normal price is. The balcony had beautiful ocean views. I’m sure the sunsets are even better, though I didn’t see one at the motel this visit. Paths behind the motel lead straight to the beach, which was as beautiful as any other except the unique Glass Beach. The waves, breeze, fresh smells, and vibrant natural colors made me appreciate how much more beautiful nature is than anything people can create. The room was very clean, and having hot chocolate or coffee to take on a walk was perfect. The path to Beach Glass was about a .4 walk, so convenient for the visit. Lol, anyways.

We hadn’t planned where to stop, and my son, German shepherd, and I had lost track of time while traveling up the coast. Finding this place at the last minute turned out to be a welcome bit of luck. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even gave us a welcome “doggie bag” with a blanket, treats, and doody bags. There are bike rentals, free coffee, and fire pits on the outside patio. We enjoyed the beautiful ocean views and the wide beach and bluff where people and dogs can roam freely. A real diamond in the rough. I can’t wait to come back for a longer visit. Thanks!

We won’t be back. The patio had a beautiful beach view, but there were no chairs to sit and enjoy it. My mom is 84 yo and needed chairs. I asked if she requested some, and she said there was nobody there except workers who spoke NO English. I bought my mom and boyfriend a romantic two-day stay at the beachcomber for Christmas, and she told me it was just ok. Also, when you ask for a jacuzzi tub, you mean a spa-style bubbling jet hot tub, not just the brand name “jacuzzi”. It wasn’t what she wanted. Stop playing word games! I’ll be more specific next time I require one at a different hotel.

Even in the rain and drizzle, we had a wonderful time. The hiking, beach access, and views are fabulous. The upgraded rooms and pet-friendly accommodations make it hard to beat, though it is a bit expensive. I love this place.
