Harbor Lite Lodge

We had a great harbor view, and the stairs made it convenient to get down to eat and shop, though the walk back up is a bit of a hike. The room was clean but somewhat dated, and the staff and view were top notch. The barbecue area worked perfectly for our Thanksgiving travel dinner. We left a day before our reservation ended, and I was surprised they refunded the final night. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we spoke with them, and the 10% discount at The Wharf restaurant was a lovely bonus with our meal. I'd definitely recommend the Harbor Lite Lodge.

The temperature control was a disaster. The thermostat only seemed to have two settings, “Volcano” and “Arctic Tundra,” and the heater was so broken it may as well have been decoration. Within ten minutes of arriving, I found about 47 ants in the room. They seemed more organized than the hotel staff. The maid service never showed up, and I'm starting to think it's a myth. This place has you questioning your life choices while sharing the room with insects and getting all four seasons in one night. Otherwise, keep driving.

For $119 midweek, the upstairs King with view was quiet, clean, and good value. We had a harbor view from the balcony and enjoyed watching the fishing boats come and go. The staircase gives access down to the harbor, though it feels a bit strenuous and sketchy in the dark.

I've stayed here a couple of times, but the girl at the front desk has a bad attitude. As someone working the desk, she should learn to smile and greet customers. She needs to leave that attitude at home. We didn't pay to be treated rudely.
