The little breakfast was enough for me: make-your-own waffles, a couple kinds of fruit and cereal, milk, orange and apple juice, coffee and tea. There's no pool or gym, but the Pacific Ocean is across the street. I slept fine, and the room felt like the cleanest I've stayed in for years. The staff must be doing a great job keeping it that way. This is an old-school motor lodge, remodeled in 2021. I came alone for a quick trip instead of bringing my travel trailer, and I'd stay again. I was in room 106. It had a king bed, a large bathroom with a tub and lighted mirror, and a full kitchen with a stove, apartment-sized fridge, microwave, toaster, basic pots and pans, and some utensils. There was also a ceiling fan, dual-pane windows, WiFi, cable TV, and a large front window for light and breeze. The kitchen and living/bedroom areas had roll-down blackout shades with a beach scene. You can park right in front of your room. At night you can hear the ocean. It's a 5 min walk from Glass Beach parking lot, an 8 min walk to Skunk Train, and there's a grocery/liquor store next door. The walls carry the sound of water running when neighbors shower, which could bother a light sleeper. The bed frame in my room was a sheet-metal perimeter with some kind of spring-hung mattress base. I kept kicking it getting into bed, and it squeaked a lot if I moved quickly. I usually sleep with earplugs, so those sounds didn't bother me. All the rooms were booked, but I didn't run into loud or obnoxious guests. I think quiet time starts at 10pm. If the frames are all like mine, though, someone next door could make quite a bit of noise getting intimate. The breakfast isn't for anyone looking for a big meal, and there was no pool or gym, but the ocean is right across the street.

Glass Beach is just down the road, and Denny's and the best burger place within 100 square miles are less than a block away. I loved the people here too. There's a bit of a language barrier at the front desk, but the lady is super nice. The rooms are clean. No air conditioning, though the ceiling fan works great if you get hot. Good-sized showers with endless hot water. Thanks for a great stay! The Katusich's

This place was a dump. The room was dark and dingy, with scuffed, dirty floors. There was no coffee maker, and the bathroom vent was hanging down and didn't work. The pictures online don't look like the actual rooms or lobby, which felt like false advertising. I wish I'd done my research first. Any positive reviews must be fake. Never again, and please rent somewhere else. Some complaints have been there for months, and it seems nobody at Oceanside inn has fixed anything because they just don't care.

It was an adequate room at a seaside motel. The bed was fairly comfortable, and the low-flow shower had hot water. No AC, but the overhead fan and baseboard heater kept me comfortable. There was also a mini fridge, microwave, and a minimal breakfast with coffee. The walls are paper-thin, which explains the signs saying quiet hours run from 10pm to 7am. Someone in the next room was enjoying themselves.

The location on the main drag was handy, the window had a nice blackout shade, and the mattress was okay. But this felt more like a rest stop than a motel, definitely not a hotel. There wasn't a blanket on the bed or in the closet, just a sheet and another sheet for cover. I slept in sweats and was cold all night. I don't like a hot room for sleeping, so I don't know if the heat works. The bathroom sink takes ages to get hot, and by then it won't drain, so use it sparingly. The mattress sits on a metal box that catches your feet and makes a loud noise. Some crackling or knocking sound went on all night, maybe from the refrigerator, which didn't cool enough to be worth having. If you manage to fall asleep, your neighbor may drive up and use their fob to beep the door locked instead of locking it manually. Lesson learned, we'll drive on.
