Super 8 by Wyndham Fort Bragg

The staff were awesome and helpful with our room requests. The virtual checking assistant felt weird. I guess I'm old school and want to talk to a person, but we got our keys and checked in fine. Still, keep the people at the desk. The rooms have been updated with laminate floors and no carpet, which is great. The beds were comfortable and had full-size pillows, not those trendy square ones that work but never feel as comfortable. The room was clean and the 2-bed room had 4 towels.

We were in rm 109. The rooms are clean and newly renovated, though when it rained on 2 Jan night, water came through the bathroom window. I told the front desk the next morning, and pictures are attached. Breakfast was simple: toast, powdered orange juice, coffee, oranges, Coco Puffs, and a few pastries. I didn't like the virtual check-in kiosk, where I was talking to a random dude from India. I'd checked online before arriving but still had to check in again onsite at the kiosk. Nothing too fancy for breakfast.

The staff were super friendly, like friends, and I enjoyed the coffee they serve at breakfast. The room was clean, and the location was good. From the second floor you may get an ocean view, which was a nice bonus for me. It was very noisy for me, with beeps and zzzzz sounds from the ocean. On the first night I thought someone in the next room had left an alarm vibrating, but I guess the sound came from the ocean and was made for boats. I stayed three nights and bought earplugs after that first night; they helped. The room refrigerator was also very loud and annoying at night.

Apart from the check-in, the room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Armando checked us in, and I was disappointed by his attitude. He wasn't friendly, gave no answer to some questions and answered others with a straight face. I tried to be nice and friendly, but he never smiled. As I left, I said thank you and have a great day, and he said nothing, moving on to the next customer. I went back to ask his name. Later he called our room to ask if we needed anything.
