Hampton Inn Ft Collins

The toilet seat had urine stains underneath, and there was pee on the side. Disgusting. The hot tub was out of order, and the pool was far too cold to swim in. We picked this hotel partly for those amenities, and the high reviews had raised our expectations. Road traffic and police sirens bothered us through the night. We plan to try to cancel the rest of our stay and get a full refund for the remaining nights.

Our room was dirty when we arrived. The toilet had splatter underneath the seat, and there were crumbs and a coat hanger under the bed. The next morning I found long black hairs stuck to the shower wall. When I opened the blinds, I noticed the first-floor windows had been left unlocked. It made me wonder whether housekeeping had simply remade a dirty bed from the previous guests. Absolutely terrible. There’s a Holiday Inn about a block farther up the road, and I think I’ll book there next time. Shame on you.

I’m really upset. My son came back from a meeting with his coach and was told he was in trouble because someone had complained about music in our room. Nobody contacted me about a complaint or told us there was a concern with the volume. Hearing about it a day later is frustrating, and it has caused conflict for my son and affected our reputation with the team. I’m renting the room, so anything about it should have been brought to me first. I understand contacting the coach if things were out of control, but we only had music on from 3:30 to 4:30 pm, not at an excessive volume, and never got a call. We went through the lobby once or twice to get snacks during that time, so any concern could easily have been raised with us then.

Hampton Inn was the usual predictable stay. The front desk was polite despite IT problems during check-in. They always had cold bottled water available for outings, which is helpful since dehydration at altitude can be an issue.
