We switched to the Comfort Inn across the street for our last two nights. For $23 more, we got a clean room, an indoor pool and hot tub, a microwave, fridge, hair dryer, iron, hot breakfast, and friendly staff. Here, our room was dirty, the toilet didn't flush properly, and the door's security latch was broken. Staff were smoking outside the office, the pool was closed, and we couldn't get a clean towel without handing one in. Breakfast was only little confetti or chocolate chip muffins, and there wasn't anything at all on our last day.

The motel itself isn't fancy, but the front desk staff are caring and go out of their way to help, as long as you're not being obnoxious. I just watched one of the women there help a disabled guest without being asked. They also helped me when a man who apparently wasn't staying there kept coming into my room, trying to get at my food and drinks, and wouldn't leave me alone. They got him off the property and away from me, and I felt much safer. A couple of the staff have done a lot to help me, but I can never remember their names.

The included breakfast was coffee and a muffin. My brother had to move rooms twice, one because of a water leak and the other because the shower and toilet weren't working right. The mattresses were stained, and there was police activity almost every day, along with drugs being sold out of rooms. When I tried to cancel the rest of his stay, they said I wouldn't get a refund. Luckily, I booked through booking.com, which requested one for me, and I'm now supposed to receive it. Do not stay here.

We gave it another try and the second stay was just as awful. We hadn't realized Park Inn was Motel 6 under a different name, and felt scammed by the online booking site. The first visit was bad enough that we swore we'd never return. Back then it was still listed as 'Motel 6' online, where we booked. The room was freezing the whole time, and the heater only blew cool air. There were odd-looking bugs crawling around the bathroom floor, and they charged at my feet. The only bed had a huge dip in it, like someone had lain in the same spot for decades. The mattress left our backs aching for days and should have been thrown out ages ago. For $60-70 a night, we expect things to work. This place seems barely up to code, and I imagine there'd be several violations if someone looked closely at the rooms. I give it two stars, though I don't know why.

I was locked out of my room in 100-degree heat after returning from my car with more luggage. My key wouldn't work, and a young man from Reception came with me, but the door wouldn't open with a card because the battery was dead. He called the Manager, and I waited outside for over half an hour before Sandeep finally came out from somewhere. Maybe he'd been sleeping if he was working the night “Moonlight” shift. I told him I was locked out. He just said, “I know,” and seemed unconcerned. He told the Receptionist man to break in through the window, then left. We couldn't figure out how to do it, so we went to find him again. Sandeep still didn't seem concerned or help us work out how to move the window with a hammer without breaking it. We eventually got in through the window. I was given another room key and moved my things. The sheets there were clean but old and stained, and I was grateful for a hot shower. I've applied to Park Inn for a partial rebate. I'd recommend any other hotel than Park Inn, by Radison, in Fort Collins, 80524. I had a much better experience at Motel 6 in Baker City, Oregon.
