Sleep Inn & Suites Fort Dodge

We come down this way every other weekend, even though it’s about an hour from where we need to go, because Sleep Inn in Fort Dodge feels like home away from home. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the check-in staff to housekeeping, and we’ve never had an issue checking in. Sara at reception is especially upbeat, motivated, and lovely to talk to. I always look forward to seeing her smile. The rooms are consistently nice, clean, and stocked, and Ash does a wonderful job with breakfast. Thanks to all of you for making us feel at home. We really appreciate each one of you. :)

The breakfast buffet was a highlight. My sister and I enjoyed it two mornings in a row, and the biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. The rooms were spotless, the walk-in shower was perfect, and the complimentary Zenses shampoo, conditioner, and lotion helped me feel relaxed. We even want to buy some. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home, and housekeeping was super efficient. The staff were the kindest, most down-to-earth people I’ve met at a hotel, and the front desk was always willing to help make our stay good. We were in Fort Dodge to see my long-distance best friend get married. She recommended Sleep Inn and Suites, and we loved the reviews, photos, and affordable prices. We arrived Thursday evening and had to leave Saturday morning because my sister had to work Monday. Honestly, my only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. It was just seven minutes from the wedding venue and close to Target and Walmart, two of my favorite stores. We didn’t get to use the fitness center or relaxing pool area, so we’ll bring our swimsuits and workout clothes next time. We’ll definitely be back. God bless housekeeping and Sleep Inn and Suites. I’d booked and paid for a staycation because I needed a break from home but had to stay in town. At check-in, they refused to honor my booking and only said they had a policy against renting to people with local addresses. The employee wouldn’t explain further. This ruined a break I desperately needed, and a restriction like that should be stated beforehand. I’ve never been judged by my address like this, especially when they gave no more explanation than refusing to rent to anyone in the town. After that customer service, I have no interest in staying at another Sleep Inn & Suites. Ridiculous.

I was here for two nights on a work trip. The staff were kind and accommodating, the room was clean, and the coffee was decent. No complaints.
