Cordova Arms on the River by Rocketstay

That tropical mural on the building gives the place so much color and personality. I stayed at Cordova Arms alone on a work trip, and the clean, quiet, well-kept property made it easy to focus and get things done. I appreciated the welcome snacks, coffee, water, and bottle of wine. The kitchen worked well for quick meals and morning coffee, and the reliable WiFi let me work online through the day. Evenings were peaceful for watching TV. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the hallways and shared areas were clearly maintained. Everything felt organized and professionally managed. I'd stay again for work.

The balcony facing the water became our favorite place for morning coffee and taking in the view. The kitchen had everything we needed, which made the stay comfortable and simple. We also loved relaxing by the pool at Cordova Arms in Fort Lauderdale, with that gorgeous water view. We had a great time and would come back.

This was our third visit to Cordova Arms, and it continues to be a comfortable, welcoming choice for me, my husband, and the kids. We especially enjoyed spending time at the pool and looking out over the water. The property is peaceful, convenient, clean, and well looked after. Management has been responsive and professional, and we keep returning because the place feels safe and dependable for the whole family.

The place itself looked nice, with comfortable beds, attractive furniture, and a good kitchen, but my friend and I didn’t feel safe and ended up leaving early. We were meant to stay nine days. The contact person was cordial and replied promptly when we raised issues, but we still paid for two nights we didn’t use. Any hotel would reimburse unused nights, and I can’t recommend this place. There was yelling and screaming every night, and pot smell filled the hallways. The pool water was ice cold, and all three loungers were broken, so we couldn’t swim or sunbathe. Since it’s near the beach, we needed beach towels, but none were provided, and we weren’t allowed to use bath towels at the pool. We bought our own. In the bathroom there was no floor mat or place to hang a wet suit. The linen closet was empty, with no spare pillows or blankets. We got just two paper-thin towels and one roll of toilet paper for the full nine days. When we asked for more, we were told there was a shortage, and eventually received only two additional towels. There was an old coffee maker, and we’d have had to bring our own coffee. A Keurig would have been better. This was my first Airbnb stay, and probably my last.
