The front desk team made a good impression. We didn't like our first room, and they moved us to one with a better ocean view at no extra charge. The pool was another highlight, with plenty of fun for the kids. We stayed two nights at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach after our cruise, and the experience was mixed but mostly positive. The view was good enough that I'd rate the room excellent, but some of the ocean-view advertising feels misleading. On the lower floors on one side, you have to turn your head out the window to see the ocean. Those rooms are really partial ocean-view. Try for floor 6 or 7 and above. The main drawback is the location. The hotel is at the end of the strip, with few restaurants or activities within easy walking distance, and the area felt rougher than other parts of Fort Lauderdale Beach. The rooms need updating too. The walls were banged up and paper thin, and noise from the hallway carries easily. The bathroom, especially the shower head, tub, and tiles, felt dirty and dated, like something from the 90s. The furniture did too. For premium prices, I expected a more modern, refreshed space.

We came for spring break and the staff were friendly and gave us great service the whole time. The views were lovely, and it was a perfect place to relax. Ruben handled the chair service at the beach across the street so well. Both times we went, he set up a great spot and was kind and accommodating. Great experience, thank you!

Ruben was the highlight of our trip. He helped my four friends and me get beach chairs every morning and was so kind and welcoming. The direct beach access also made the stay feel luxurious. We spent spring break at Sonesta Fort Lauderdale this past week, and the service was amazing. If you stay here, Ruben is the best!

The staff were amazing and did their best to address my concerns, but the hotel has no heating at all. My room lost power three times, and parking cost $100 a day. There are hidden fees people should know about. The microwave in the room didn't work, and the one downstairs wasn't working either. There aren't microwaves in the rooms.

The easiest part of our spring break was getting to the beach. Ruben, who rented out the lounge chairs for the day, was so kind. He had great amenities and would sometimes check in to see if we needed anything. His friendly manner and great service made our week at the beach a 10/10. My four friends and I stayed here for the week and had an amazing time!
