Perroquet Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach

Our time at Perroquet Hotel was brief but comfortable and pleasant. The room was small and cozy, just right for a romantic getaway, and it was clean, comfortable, welcoming and thoughtfully maintained. The location is a little hidden gem. Spirit canceled our flight home because of their bankruptcy situation, forcing a change of plans and the cancellation of one night. The hotel management was kind and understanding and refunded us without any trouble. We really appreciated their empathy and professionalism during a stressful situation. We loved the stay and will definitely come back. Highly recommended!

It's a short walk to the beach and just a few minutes from the cruise ports, which made this a convenient one-night stop before our cruise. The property is under renovation, so there was wet paint in some areas. The pool was clean, the rooms spacious, and the bath towels fluffy. The linens were clean and the kitchenette handy. It's not fancy, but has what you need, and I'd stay again.

I'd booked it 11 months ahead, and during that time ownership changed and renovations took place. I only realized this the week we arrived, when I texted to confirm the two beds and pullout sofa I'd paid for. I was told there was a sofa bed, but after the new renovations there wasn't one. The bigger issue was that no one was at the hotel in the evening. Text or phone were the only ways to reach anyone. I texted for extra sheets, a rollaway, or even another room since there was a vacancy sign out front. I tried two phone numbers too, with no response. One family member slept on the floor. We only got texts saying they were sorry and would notify their team. No compensation or follow-up message came. It felt like I was talking to an AI chatbox. Good luck if you have a problem in the evening.

The rooms feel carefully designed, with custom furniture that blends a modern look with a calm, minimalist feel. Greenery and natural details throughout add a warm, earthy touch. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home during a wonderful stopover before heading home. I'll definitely return. Highly recommend!
