Harbor Beach Inn

We ended up cancelling and booking somewhere else. I only called to ask about late checkout, but the man who answered was so disinterested that I didn’t want to risk arriving after reception closed and getting stuck outside. I called at 2 pm on a Tuesday, during the usual reception hours, and he said he wasn’t near the office to check my booking, and nobody else was there either. Eventually he told me to call back the next day at a time that didn’t work for me. I was surprised a business could be so uninterested in helping. I never actually stayed here.

We’ve stayed here twice now and will come back. It’s right across from the beach, with a lovely pool, free WiFi, and free parking. The hotel is clean and well kept, close to everything, and restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

They took over the hotel through the neighboring property and cancelled our reservation just five days before check-in. They offered us another room at the neighboring hotel, but it was nearly double the confirmed price. We got no replies to our emails and couldn’t reach anyone by phone. That’s not customer service.

I appreciated the personal attention and how flexible the management was. The hotel has a charming, quaint feel and a great location. I’d definitely come back.
