The staff took good care of us. On the first night, the bathroom door gave us trouble, and Shannon handled it calmly and professionally. The next day, Brenna quickly arranged another room and took the first night off our bill, which we really appreciated. Tanesha made checkout easy and made sure we got refunded when we left a day early. Shannon, Tanesha, and Brenna were all wonderful and welcoming.
I’m taking back the five stars I gave this hotel. They charged me twice for one stay, and months of calls turned into a back-and-forth where they’d issue a credit and then reverse it. I’m still out $107. I live on SSI, so that money matters, and this was my first trip to FT.Laudale. It’ll be my last. At first, the manager I spoke with was helpful. But by February 16,2026, things had gone downhill. The manager I spoke to then was unprofessional, talked over me, and hung up while I was explaining that I was still owed the $107. I’ve stayed in hotels around the world and never had a manager be so unkind. The front desk staff were kind and helpful, especially Taneshia, who tried to help get my money back, and the first manager. If a big corporation needs to keep my $107, they should close their doors or get rid of nasty, unkind managers. I want the money I’m owed, and I won’t stop trying to get it.
There seemed to be a lot of people living there who might have been charity residents. We wouldn’t recommend the place. Our room itself was fine, but it faced a laundry area where people gathered to chat, and the noise went on late. After checkout, we spotted an improper charge on the bill. The desk clerk said she’d submit a credit. Three weeks later it still hadn’t arrived, though that same clerk said she had sent it to her manager for processing three weeks earlier.
The woman who helped us check in was the only good part of the stay. The water from the tub was lime green, the TV wouldn’t work because there was no antenna, both toilet seats were up when we entered, and the top door lock was really loose. It made me worry about bed bugs or something else. I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel, and I wouldn’t recommend it. If I could give zero stars, I would.
Brenna was wonderful when a problem with our third-party booking came up. She went out of her way to help sort it out, even though it had nothing to do with the hotel. While we were there, we heard several guests blame the hotel for issues with booking agencies that the hotel couldn’t control. One guest had booked a room with two queen beds for four people, then complained about having to share a bed because the group was four single guys. Hotels often get caught in the middle with booking companies, so keep that in mind before blaming the staff. We’d happily stay here again.
