The Blue House Fort Lauderdale

Paco was a fun breakfast companion, joining me for my banana and proving to be a great conversationalist. I think he may even be part of the service staff! The Florida lizards were polite and entertaining too. Inside, everything was clean and welcoming. We had private entrances, a shared screened porch with another unit, and a nice private common area with a hot tub and grill. Jess was super nice and quickly answered our questions. She also coordinated things well when we arrived a bit early. It had a comfortable, at-home feel, which suited us since we weren’t looking for a hotel. The price was way better than a hotel room. We had a great stay and would recommend it, whether booking a couple of units for a family or friends trip or just coming for a quiet getaway.

The cottage was quiet, roomy, and nicely decorated, with all the amenities we needed. It was very clean, and the bed and sheets were exceptionally comfortable. I only wish there’d been a TV in the bedroom. The location was central to everything we needed, and I’d happily stay again. It felt much more comfortable than a hotel room, and I highly recommend Blue house.

The grounds and rooms were clean, and the rooms were well stocked. There’s laundry on site, plus a hot tub and grill. Parking is tight. They respond quickly to messages and help with requests or problems. Beautiful setting, and we’ll definitely be back.

The room had a few frustrating issues. The bed wasn’t lumpy, but it sat low, felt very soft and unsupportive, and was so thin I could feel the boards underneath. The support legs are placed in a way that makes it easy to stub your foot. The freezer had so much ice buildup that the ice cube tray barely fit, and the dinner plates wouldn’t fit in the small microwave. I had to turn the TV on by hand before its controls worked. The toilet base seemed to leak intermittently, and the hot tub was low on water.
