The Hotel Deauville

Our condo across the street couldn’t comfortably fit everyone, so the Deauville Hotel was an ideal spot for our family during New Years week. It was clean, nice, and convenient, and gave us room to spend time together without feeling crowded. The owner was accommodating with our requests and easy to reach by phone. It cost a bit more because it was peak season, but the cleanliness, location, and quality made it worthwhile. We often need extra space for family and friends, and we’ll use the Deauville again. Glad we found such a comfortable, reliable option close to home.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The room had a strange odor when we arrived, though it faded after a while. We asked for the futon to be made up and had to do it ourselves. The bed was the only comfortable part. The futon was very uncomfortable, and the bathroom and shower were tiny, with no counter space and just a small shower shelf. It would be hard to use if you’re tall or large. The room felt small, old, and out of date. Its only windows faced a back alley, so we kept them shut, and it was noisy all night from traffic and doors slamming. The outside and pool area looked rundown. Parking was difficult, with small spaces and a challenging turn in from Ocean Blvd. If you have a large vehicle, a nearby garage may be easier. We paid over $450 for two nights, which didn’t feel remotely worth it. There was no cancellation policy, or I would’ve left a day early. I booked through booking.con, where it was rated excellent, but my stay was far from that. I’ll contact booking.com too. Don’t make my mistake.

I’m glad I booked this for New Years. Inside, it was very nice for what I paid. The beach is close, and Las Olas strip is about a 10-minute drive away.

My daughter and I came for a concert and were very happy with the updated, clean room and how close it was to the beach. Staff were attentive, too. Free parking, keyless entry, and the provided beach towels, chairs, and umbrella were all useful for our trip. We stayed three days and would come back to the area. A full-length mirror and a safe in the room would be nice additions, though we felt our belongings were safe.
