The Lauderdale Boutique Hotel

Every interaction felt personal and sincere, and the concierge team gave us recommendations without a hitch. The breakfast spread was incredible, and the on-site fine-dining restaurant is a must-visit. We stayed three nights and were blown away by the attention to detail.

I prepaid $948 for a room four months before our trip, but when my teenage daughter and I arrived, The Lauderdale had given it to someone named Janice. We were left out on the street, with no call or email to warn me. Janice, I hope you enjoyed your free room. The “For Help Call” sign outside the property fencing had a number that reached a creepy guy. He tried to get me to text photos of my ID to his personal cell phone. I’ve called six times trying to get a refund and still haven’t received one. I’ll remove this review when the money is back in my account.

The place itself is decent, but the bathroom wasn’t clean enough for that price. The floor mat was already damp from someone else’s use and seemed to have just been folded up for the next guest. When I was about to use the bathroom, foul-smelling water suddenly came up through the shower drain. In the morning, the shower water never got hot and the drain was clogged, so we couldn’t shower before leaving.

The room’s condition didn’t match the website description, and the cleanliness was below standard when I arrived. I promptly told the hotel and asked on Thursday for the issues to be fixed or to be moved to a clean room. They said they’d email updates, but none came. When I followed up, I was told there would be a deep clean Friday and my cleaning fee would be refunded. No deep clean happened, and I’m still waiting for the refund. The room wasn’t serviced until the day before I left. I’d hoped to refer crew here and leave a positive review, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. Since it was after hours, I emailed the hotel after sharing arrival photos with my crewmates. One of them had stayed before and asked whether these conditions were normal.
