Winterset A North Beach Village Resort Hotel

We had a spotless room, plenty of towels, and good privacy. The grounds were beautiful, as were the pool and hot tub. Staff were polite and attentive, and shops and the beach are close by. I appreciated being allowed a late checkout for my later flight. I’d absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

The one good thing was being close to the beach. Otherwise, this was a disaster, with added fees and dirty rooms that didn’t match what was advertised. The TVs had no remotes, nobody was at the front desk when I needed help, the deadbolt wouldn’t lock, and the bed sheet was completely the wrong size. They also charged me an extra 10.00 per night to park there. I guess most guests walk to Ft Lauderdale? I even enjoyed staring at the stains on the wall like it was some kind of psychological test.

North Beach Hotel is in a central spot in lovely Fort Lauderdale. The reservation process was wonderfully simple and quick, thanks to manager Phillipa. At check-in, desk clerk Daniel consistently showed hard work and courteous, knowledgeable attention to detail, always helping with a smile.

Winterset in Fort Lauderdale was a disappointment from beginning to end. Deborah is a horrible manager. The place feels neglected, outdated, and poorly run, like upkeep and the guest experience are afterthoughts. It doesn’t seem to have been refreshed in years, and the atmosphere is unwelcoming and depressing. Customer service was the worst part: unprofessional, dismissive, and slow to respond. When I raised concerns, I got attitude instead of solutions and felt like I was a nuisance for expecting basic standards. Cleanliness was questionable, and the noise made it impossible to relax. For the price and its Fort Lauderdale location, it falls far short. There are much better nearby options that value their guests. I wouldn’t recommend Winterset to anyone. One stay was enough.
