Karen, Nancy, Kevin, and Peyton make this place feel like more than somewhere to sleep, and Delia, the GM, has lifted my mood more than once just by being around. She’s delightful, and the whole staff, from management to housekeeping, is helpful, welcoming, and easy to talk to. The location is central, and there’s even a little library where you can borrow books. Rooms are clean and up to date, with a full-size fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and silverware, along with the microwave and coffee maker. The heated pool is lovely and always clean. I’d recommend it for a short visit or a longer stay.

The location is handy, close to I-75, but service at the front desk was below average. The hotel itself feels worn: the showers look old and the carpets are dingy. It could definitely use a remodel.

The one good thing was that the washer and dryer were free to use. The room had a strong chemical cleaning smell, and it took about an hour before I could get used to it. There were small roaches in the kitchen, too. My coworker and I checked in and out at the same time, but our rates were different, $232 and $187. When I asked the manager about it, she said she couldn’t do anything. The front desk staff weren’t friendly.

The staff here were fantastic, all five stars, but I’d stay somewhere else nearby. Holiday Inn is right across the street. There were ants on the fourth floor coming through a huge hole by the AC unit, so bring ant traps for the windows and AC if you do stay. The Clean Remotes provided for the TV were pretty useless, too, so you may want to bring a Universal TV Remote.

The bed was hard as a brick, like sleeping on the floor, and I found it incredibly uncomfortable. The room was basic and clearly dated. Housekeeping was nice and the rest of the staff were okay, but when I travel I want a decent room and bed, and this wasn’t it. I’d pay a little extra for comfort.
