The trip went well and the room was clean enough, though the amenities felt dated. My key stopped working twice, so I had to ask the front desk to reprogram it. The “free breakfast” also turned out to cost $12. My thermostat didn’t work, and after it snowed my room stayed at 66 or 67 degrees for the rest of the trip. I didn’t feel like going back to the front desk after dealing with the key problems.

That bed was like a cloud, but this was the worst hotel we’ve stayed at, and we won’t be back. We were here for a week for work, and the hot tub was closed, which wasn’t advertised. I’d specifically told my boyfriend to book somewhere with a hot tub. We couldn’t get a refund because the whole week was booked and paid for in advance. Otherwise, we’d have left on the first day. There was no housekeeping, towels, toilet paper, napkins, or trash bags. My boyfriend went down several times to report the trash and ask for towels, but nobody ever came. The first morning, I called to ask about breakfast. They said renovations meant there wasn’t any and asked if we were part of the World Cup. When I said no, they said, “Then no!” They could’ve put that more politely. There was no breakfast all week, which would’ve been fine if they’d said so on the website or somewhere before booking. They welcomed the World Cup players, but didn’t acknowledge me or other regular guests. When my boyfriend asked for late checkout on the morning we left, they initially refused. Then reception noticed his Diamond Elite status and said, “Oh, you’re a diamond elite? Oh well Im not supposed to, but I’ll go ahead and do it.” He asked why they said that, since late checkout is part of the status and we get it every week at the places we stay.
I stayed two nights in room 423. After the first night, our keys had deactivated, so I went to get them turned back on. That was a minor issue. The bathroom and shower were very good, with no complaints there. But the room smelled a little funky, and I saw a flea in the bed I was sleeping in. I came home with a couple of bites. Please sanitize that room and get rid of the bugs.
The rooms were clean, and the location works well for Fort Wayne. But the hot tub was out of service, and the restaurant has been replaced by a lounge that doesn't take credit cards. I'll need to plan around that, and it will affect whether I stay here again.
The suite was large, and the hotel itself was fine, but a couple of lights didn't work and some furniture was broken. At the price I paid, I expected the room to be better maintained.
