Nini at the front desk is amazing. I’ve never gotten this much help at a hotel. Every time I come, she does her best to get me settled, and her customer service adds so much value here. She’s the best! I tried to give five stars, but my phone was acting up.

The hotel looks good outside, but inside it’s very outdated. The elevator’s inspection certificate was expired. Our room smelled musty, and the TV remote didn’t work. We took it to the desk, where the attendant changed the batteries, but it still failed. We had to wait for the night person to look into it, and he eventually brought back the room’s original remote. The shower was dirty and moldy, too. At check-in they said it was nonsmoking, but at 4 a.m. we woke to weed smell on our floor, which then spread through the whole place. Breakfast was supposed to run from 6-9 a.m.; when we checked at 7:30, there was nothing. We were disappointed with every part of this stay, and it was a waste of our money and weekend. They also don’t accept the AARP discount card.

The online rate was around $54.00. We called ahead because we’d arrive at 5am after a road trip and asked for early check-in. The woman on the phone said okay, but when we got there they charged over $70 for 5am-11am. That’s bullshit. We moved the credit card room booking to the next day, and we were pissed. Then a friend came to visit with her small dog. She walked straight through the front door and nobody said anything about pets. When she came into our room, a guy came up and said we had to pay a $100 dog deposit. I said they weren’t staying and I’d have them leave immediately. He said okay, but right away. They left, and I thought that was done. Later, coming in from the store, a woman told us to pay a $50 incident payment or check out, saying it was for the dog. Why try to juice us over this? We’d already paid $200 for 30 hours, which is A LOT! Days inn needs to get these people under control!

Everything was fine except the housekeepers. On my second day I went looking for towels because nobody had knocked for room service, but they acted like they couldn’t speak or understand English. I never got clean towels. The next day, I was 10 minutes late leaving the room and they were rude and disrespectful. Suddenly they understood and spoke a little English. I won’t come back because of how ridiculous they were.
